Two additional—and extraordinary—concerts will cap off Bolzano’s long summer in celebration of classical music. The Bolzano String Academy, conducted by Georg Egger, will perform Antonin Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings in E major, Op. 22, and Les Illuminations, Op. 18, by Benjamin Britten on August 22nd. Soprano Letizia Scherer will be the soloist. Musica in Aulis will also give a tribute to Franz Liszt's 200th birthday, on September 10th. The Coro Filarmonico Trentino, conducted by Sandro Filippo and featuring pianist Sabrina Kang, will perform the Via Crucis, an epic work that Liszt began composing in 1873 and completed in 1879.
